Expansion vessels are an important component in every heating, cooling, solar and domestic water system.

Application

The pressure expansion vessel is one of the safety components for closed solar systems. Pressure expansion vessels can be used in all types of heating systems (provided this is technically possible).

assembly

The pressure expansion vessel is connected to the GPS pump group via a special connection so that the vessel can be replaced without having to drain the solar system.

construction

Pressure expansion vessels are welded steel vessels whose interior is divided into two parts by an elastic membrane: gas and water. The gas part is equipped with a pressure control valve. The water part is filled with the heat transfer fluid from the solar system

The correct pressure in the gas system stabilizes the pressure of the entire central heating system (the system changes its volume and maintains the pressure constant). The pressure expansion vessels are supplied as standard filled with gas under a certain pressure. During installation, it is necessary to adjust the pressure value in the gas part to the needs of the heating system. The minimum operating pressure is 0.5 bar.

Pressure expansion vessels can be used in heating systems with an operating temperature of up to 100ºC. Heating systems with expansion vessels must be equipped with a safety valve, thermometer and pressure gauge.
